A Rubric is an assessment tool to measure and report student achievement based on student learning evidence. It is an authentic, objective, reliable and meaningful assessment tool. It provides written instructions to evaluate and asses a task through a set of multi dimensional scoring guidelines.
EKSAQ has developed Rubric Parameters for assessment of student work at Secondary Stage to assess both Scholastic and Co-Scholastic activities. Rubric Parameters are in place for a wide range of class and subject related activities, assignments, worksheets, projects, experiments, role play, reports, debates, discussions, brain storming, brain writing, surveys etc. Objective, unbiased and detailed assessment parameters give adequate and accurate feedback on learner performance and student learning outcomes. Student competencies are assessed on a five-point scale: Outstanding Standards to Unacceptable Standards.
