RCA:

Reading and Comprehension Assessment (RCA) is a program that tests the reading skills and comprehension ability of students, identifies learning gaps, and uses data to improve instruction. The program has different focus areas for the different educational stages under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

RCA has both digital and offline iterations. RCA consist of three tests conducted at different parts of the academic year and tracks the progress of student performances to ensure that each child gets the attention they need to perform well. It analyses both the voice recording and the written responses of the students to provide a comprehensive assessment that helps them perform at an elevated level.

The performances are grouped into three bands: Emergent, Transitional, and Fluent. We take into account the different learning paces of students to provide a holistic path to achieving the required competencies in reading and comprehension.
